Working on a fireground or an accident scene requires quick and clear thinking based on thorough training and a lot of hard work. As trained fire-fighters, volunteers respond side by side with first responders to battle structure and vehicle fires, hazardous materials, floods and other emergencies. The need for volunteers is real and never-ending.

Fire Department
The local volunteer Fire Department is a group of individual dedicated to serving the community. Through town funding and Fire Angels’ fundraisers they sacrifice their time by attending training seminar and workshops so they will be prepared when called upon.

Citizens On Patrol
Citizens of Niverville patrol the streets to keep our streets safe. If you are interested in volunteering please contact The Niverville Chamber of Commerce @ 388-4325.

RCMP
Niverville is provided with round-the-clock police service. In case of emergency call 911 or contact the RCMP at 388-6091

The First Responders
is a non profit group employed by SouthEastman Health. After a 9-month course to get certified, we meet once a month to catch up, review any concerns and participate in ongoing training We serve our community 24/7 by responding to most medical/trauma emergencies.

Before the ambulance arrives we stabilise the patient according to our skill level. We get all the information we can to make the transition as smooth as possible, transferring care to the ambulance staff.
